What does 'Waxing Prosaic' mean? I've only heard a similar term used, which is 'Waxing lyrical', but i'm guessing it's similar..

Prosaic : prose :: lyrical : lyrics. That is, I'm waxing creative, and it's coming out in written form.

Unfortunately for me, "prosaic" also has the alternate dictionary meaning of "Lacking in imagination and spirit; dull," which is really not at all what I want to imply. ]B=8p

Well, yes, but technically any smiley of sufficient complexity looks like a PERL string. ];=8)

And vice versa of course, but with simplicity *smiles* I wonder if anyone has written a perl script to print full screen smileys? *ponder*

Completely on-topic: most excellent. I felt that way about wandering in the Humboldt forests, and looking at the beach. I love Seattle, but I miss the quiet of less populated areas, and sometimes the press of people makes me kind of edgy... but I've tried both, and I have to say that I'm an urban critter. :)

Completely off-topic: something in your LJ setup is playing silly buggers with HTML links, at least on IE WhateverVersionI'mUsing. When I mouse over the link, it shrinks in size to about half the font size of the rest of the text, and moves the text behind it as well to compensate for the changed font size. It's bizarre, and I have no idea why it's doing that, but I thought I'd let you know, in case you know or have any interest in fixing it. ;) It doesn't make the links unworkable or unreadable - but it is dramatically startling, to mouse over a link and have it look like it's trying to jump out of the way!

Darn cascading style sheets.

I _think_ it's fixed now. Can you check for me? I don't have MSIE.

... nope. To give you an additional pointer, it doesn't happen with links I've already visited, only with links I haven't yet clicked on. And it's also happening with the "Read X Comments - Add Your Own Comment" links.

Meh!

But I did get it now. I know, because I checked with IE at work. Yay me! And boo on CSS' confusing documentation!
