But assuming sufficient mana, the Baxil can keep untapping as many times as necessary -- whereas the Packbat can only tap him once. Plus the ability to untap arbitrary creatures can help neutralize the Packbat distraction ability (by adding late blockers unless Packbat's player has the mana to target every single one of the defender's creatures).

Though it now occurs to me that that a Packbat/Baxil deck could lead to a pretty devastating "I tap your entire board!" combo, using me to untap you, etc. This deck may need to be built.

During your upkeep, pay (1) for each lag counter on Baxil or sacrifice him. When Baxil leaves play, he deals 1 damage to his controller for each lag counter on him.

Yeah - without a mana cost, it's trivial to get an infinite combo by just giving him an equipment/enchantment that taps to generates mana or deal damage. I think the way it's currently set up, the ability at least isn't overbalanced.

I love the "Procrastination" mechanic. It feels like lag counters are basically the equivalent of negative energy? Well, no, I guess more like lowered rate of output, or increased task latency—

—well, no wonder they're called lag counters then. *duh* *slaps himself with a fish*

I still think it's a neat mechanic though.
