Gratuitous Holiday Icon Post, thanks to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) waywind and an hour or two of learning how The GIMP handles animated GIFs.
(... Just in time to use the icon once for Christmas, and then shelve it for a whole 'nother year! Score!)

EDITED TO ADD: For those who didn't see it two years ago, have a happy CAT TOWN CHRISTMAS! (mp3, 9:30) Still IMHO one of the best pieces of Christmas media ever recorded -- a pitch-perfect Cat Town spoof of the old Charlie Brown Christmas special.

Wow! You totally said you were going make a user icon out of that and you so totally did!
Do you ever have the thought that a true user icon should involve a graphic of a needle and a length of surgical tubing? Or is that just me?

Right now R. and I are listening to the Cat Town Christmas. WHAT IS IT?!? I've even been to the website and it is NO EXPLANATION.

It's ... um ... whoo! I'm not sure how to explain it if you've already visited the website and still have to ask. :) CAT TOWN is two parts JeffK, one part For Better Or For Worse, one part LOLcat, and one part surrealism. What you see (or hear) is what you get; but keep in mind it's all done deliberately and with affection for the creation. Some of the humor is based on the character personalities, which you can't get from the cast page - you have to read the strips. But if you've ever seen the Charlie Brown Christmas special, the audio file should be pretty well self-contained. |
