i can has lj bug?
Am I the only one who is seeing this picture:

http://p-userpic.livejournal.com/3864626/240226

... as an icon of the Mystery Machine?

If I view the icon directly (such as by clicking on the link above), it comes up properly as the shadow-me-looking-over-the-ocean icon it's supposed to be, but every time it loads onto a page, it looks like this:

It's not a caching problem, because I've reloaded affected pages (and the affected icon) numerous times.

Edited to add: Via LJ support, where I submitted a ticket:
LiveJournal developers are aware that some users have been reporting problems with incorrect userpics displaying. If you are having any problems with the userpics displaying incorrectly, please clear your browser's cache. If this does not resolve the problem, please open a support request containing links to all the affected userpics. Please be assured that your userpics have not physically been replaced, nor does it mean that anyone has accessed your account.

I looked at your usericons, and the Mystery Machine is not one you have loaded onto LJ, so that eliminates the possibility of it being some sort of accidental load within your own usericon library.

I see two possibilities: It's a problem on LJ's end with their graphic server and/or graphics caching system, or it's a problem with your browser's cache.

If it's on LJs end, there's not much you can do, you'll have to wait until their image cache clears out.

If, somehow, the image cache got corrupted on your machine, and it's drawing the wrong image from the cache, there's a couple of things you can do:

1.) Look at the page on another browser, and see if it's coming up wrong on other browsers. If not, it's your browser.

2.) If it is your browser, clear out the cache.

Hope this helps!

If it was just me, I was willing to write it off as a browser glitch. But a few people downthread are reporting seeing it too ...

I'll send in a report to LJ.

ribbin, another pal of mine, had a similar issue recently. Might want to compare notes with him in addition to asking the LJ Official Folk.

Another friend had his icon replaced with a KKK icon. I think someone is hacking LJ.

For the record, I can see the right icon on your post right now.

*snort, chuckle* Nice. Just goes to show, there are only 150 PCs in the world, and everyone else is NPCs. (which explains a lot about modern politics... the GM has gone a little too far in establishing the Evil Right, and he's losing credibility. C'mon, guys, modern politicians can't be THAT blind. Oh, wait...) (/snark)

> the GM has gone a little too far in establishing the Evil Right

PC 1: Look, guys, we're only two components from assembling the Phlebotinium Glorificatus. This whole political sidequest is getting tedious. We've got to ignore it and get back on track.
GM: (*thinks: "I don't have the next dungeon prepared yet ..."*)
PC 2: Hmm ... yeah. The Technocracy's candidate is already going down in flames. Let's ditch this burg.
GM: Hey, guys, what are your Virtues and Vices?
PC 1: Um ... Justice and Wrath.
PC 2: Charity and Envy, why?
GM: As you're leaving town, you see a news report ... um ... er ... that McCain's campaign just bought Palin $150,000 worth of expensive clothing. He's ... uh ... spending money from his supporters' donations, and breaking his own campaign finance laws to do it.
PC 1: ...
PC 2: ...
PCs: Oh, it is ON!

It looks fine from my desktop but from my Centro, it's still those meddling kids and their dumb dog. I suspect ghosts.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. It cleared up on its own in a few hours.

I see an angry cat as your icon for this post, and a pixel-art mystery machine after "...seeing this picture", and also when I click the link for http://p-userpic.livejournal.com/3864626/240226. I think LJ is messing with you.

Startledcat was intentional. The only icon I've seen problems with is the ocean-silhouette/Mystery-Machine flip.

I'm seeing the looking-over-the-ocean icon. I've heard something elsewhere on LJ about getting the wrong icons, though. Weird.

This appears to be related to the fact that p-userpic.livejournal.com is served via a CDN and the CDN replicas appear to be out sync. It's a mystery to me why some of the replica servers are serving up the mystery machine, but this explains why some people are seeing the right icon and some aren't. For example, the 66.114.49.155 replica of p-userpic.livejournal.com is serving up the appropriate image, but the 66.114.49.16 replica isn't.

Hmmm...something amusing to say, is that I have seen that as your icon previously. I had just assumed you changed it to be amusing or the like.

At the moment, I see the mystery machine yet again.

And then I refresh, and it's back to the old icon. Strange... Ghost in the internet, it seems.

Somewhere, somewhere, there's a disgruntled old hacker shaking his fist at his monitor saying something along the lines of "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those damned kids!!"
