It's time: Adult filter opt-in
I've started up an adult (aka sex and/or "Not Safe For Work") filter for my journal. This will strictly be on an opt-in basis, and opting in via poll or comment is all you have to do (n.b.: I make no guarantee to people not on my friends list).

No questions asked, whether you vote yes or no. Comments are screened (and will be left that way unless you request otherwise).

Poll #1076641 Adult filter membership
Open to: Friends, results viewable to: None

My adult posts, let me show you them!

Can has posts?
64 (88.9%)

Do not want!
6 (8.3%)

Invisible vote! (i.e., my comment will explain)
2 (2.8%)

STANDARD ADULT FILTER RULE AND DISCLAIMERS:
* What's said there stays there.* This goes for both my posts (unless I repost them elsewhere myself) and people's comments.
* Will contain NSFW content -- however, every post will be lj-cut to keep your friends page worksafe.
* I may still post (clearly labeled) links to NSFW content outside the filter, but I won't post any NSFW content out here.
* Will contain personal material and TMI. I'm really not a kinky guy, but it may still dramatically alter your view of me and mine; read at own risk.
* By signing up for the filter you certify to me that you are an adult and that reading about sex is not illegal. I'm not in this for the legal problems.

--
* Your intimate partner(s) specifically exempted. See comments.

My crushes -- in rhyme! (Worksafe, but naughty)
[info]raki's challenge to subvert the Crush Meme got my mind going ...

That, and a little too much of Edward Gorey's "Gashlycrumb Tinies" (from which I shamelessly borrowed the basic idea and cribbed the rhyme scheme), had me sifting through my friends list for the people who most make my mind drift into the gutter.

And, of course, you're going to click on the cut tag and read the rest, either because you love poetry or because you just need to know how I'm scandalously misusing your LJ username. ];=8)

Random, pointless fact
It has been brought to my conscious attention tonight that, while I admire breasts as much as any other red-blooded male on the planet, cleavage does absolutely nothing for me.

However, blue eyes -- for no reason I can adequately explain -- are a turn-on.

To each their own, I guess.

Quote of the day
"This is fortunate, because the penis puts the local in Local Area Network. It would take a special breed of man to achieve a segment length of more than a few feet, and I won't even discuss network topologies."

In other news, I'm employed! (Well, okay, close enough as makes no odds. Details here.) Yay me!

Given what my life's been like since March of last year ... it's about time.

Bet results!
Well, [info]lonita logged something like 16 unique individuals offering her acts of sexual gratification, and I only managed 11. *staples hand to forehead* Woe! Angst!

There was some confusion, however, on whether this meant that I actually won the bet, or she did. So, perhaps because it was more fun that way, we both agreed to write a dirty limerick. Here's mine. Well, below the LJ-cut tag, anyway; I don't want to influence all of my impressionable young readers. (Actually, it's just to build up suspense, and give people something to click; but you didn't hear that from me.)

In other news, I would like to announce a contest that I am sponsoring for readers of my ramblings -- decipher some maniac's paragraph of incoherent rambling for fun and a nifty prize! Check it out!

I've also recently posted a new feature on my site that will, I'm sure, be useful to someone, somewhere, someday: How to hax0r a Mac port of "Rogue". The complete, illustrated how-to.

With that, I'll get right down to the whole dirty limerick thingy ...:

Great ... now we'll BOTH start soliciting
This is all your fault, [info]lonita.

Oral Sex Donations Accepted

I need donations. We have a friendly little wager going; loser writes the winner a dirty limerick. (If you're concerned about your intentions being misrepresented, feel free to write "To help you win your bet" in the comments section; on the other hand, if you're concerned about your intentions being misrepresented, feel free to write your phone number in the comments section.)

Anyone from [info]yiff want to help me tilt the odds? ];=8)

Random question.
A purely hypothetical question here, for no real reason other than it got caught in a corner of my brain.

You may be familiar with the term "pity sex"; this means, in essence, "to sleep with someone to whom you are not especially attracted, for the reason that you feel their life would be better off if they were to get some." Now, with this in mind, my question: Is there such a thing as mutual pity sex?

If so, is there a better term for it than that?

The mathematics of desire
Inspired by athagon's recent post, I undertook some mathematical analysis of the human psyche. The resluts were ... surprising. (I actually meant to type "results" there, but that typo was probably significant.)

Using only such basic mathematical concepts as multiplication, substitution and the commutative property (a * b = b * a), I have discovered what "I want to wait for the right time" really means ... and it's not the innocent statement of pre-marriage chastity it appears to be.

The proof follows ... )
