A "neigh"-t on the town
kadyg and I just got back from a day out in Berkeley, seeing the play Equus (in which lysana and blackfyr had roles). An experience. Entertaining, moving, and profound.

I'll try to expand my thoughts on it after collapsing into bed for eight hours and then signing our lease for the new place we're getting up in Grass Valley. It gave me some thoughts on draconity and spirituality worth trying to put into words. Right now, it's been a long day and Kady and I need a recharge.

Oh my... That sounds really wonderful.
Is there any chance to find a recording somewhere? There's no way I'll ever be able to be in Berkeley just to see this...

The royalty agreement with the publisher demanded no taping of the performance. If you want to see a film version that has a few issues proving that atmospheric '70s plays don't always translate well to screen, it was made into a movie. The horse-blinding sequence in the film is just plain nasty.

Is the play worth reading perchance...? Some work well enough that way... Otherwise, well, perhaps I'll find it being played around here eventually. :)

Then you should get right up here and quick.

We're moving closer to my job, further from Bax's but with more space and cheaper rent. If you're not careful, you may end up helping us move.

Yes.

(We've been moving stuff up a carload at a time for about a week now and will continue to do so. However, Sunday is going to be our big day with the U-haul and the grunting and the manhandling. Of furniture.

oh, wow. That's one of my favorite plays, but I have never seen it performed. Do you know how long it runs?

I'm glad that you two had a good time. And yeah, 'Equus' is...thought provoking.
