Been a busy week here at the paper
Yesterday: Boreal Ski Resort, just up the hill from us, makes a big deal of being the first slopes to open for the season, on artificial snow. (It's been a dry autumn.) Impatient winter sportsmen rejoice.

Today: It's raining -- not snowing, not sleeting, but raining; 41 degrees and wet -- making slush of all their fresh artificial slopes. Can't win for losing.

Current Mood: amusedamused

I wonder if they'll also be the first slopes to close ...

Teach them to mess with the GOD OF PRECIPITATION!

You get snow when he's damn good and ready to drop it and not a moment sooner.

This sucks.

My snowboard is waxed.

The plates are tightened down.

My boots are dusted off.

My shell has a fresh coat of water repellent.

I want it to hurry up so that I can be too busy to go!

Well, you know what they say; there's no business like snow business.

You still exist? How the hell is this happening?

I remember emailing you back in freaking 1999 when I was first discovering the furs and dragons and junk.

Paper Airplane building contest.

Yeah ... that makes me something like 5,231 in Internet years. Must have been all those Twinkies I ate as a kid; my corpse is taking way too long to decompose.

Heck, it's been over a decade since I was in the contest we traded notes on once upon a time.

I've occasionally seen your art around the 'net, but wasn't aware you had an LJ. Resistance is futile, etc. I hope that the camera store isn't sucking too much life out of you these days.
