Thru-Hiker's Guide to the PCT - Multimedia extravaganza!
You all knew it had to happen sooner or later: A THGTTPCT entry has made the leap from phone post to full-blown video! Watch everyone's favorite droll British PCT narrator try to make some sense out of the lengthy desert hike across Antelope Valley.

UPDATED: Now with bonus YouTube goodness!

If you want to download it or have a pathological hatred of YouTube, you can also grab the original file. [Low-resolution; MOV format; 1:03; 13MB]

Brought to you courtesy of a digital camera that records video clips; iMovie; and about eight hours and six different pieces of freeware to convert everything into a format that iMovie would let me use. :-p

Current Location: Grass Valley, Calif.
Current Mood: productiveproductive
Current Music: "Heroes," David Bowie

Ha ha ha very boring indeed.

Joshua trees are entertaining scenery! All of those freaky shapes they grow into...

I like the video travelogue idea. Very nicely done.

Thanks! When I get around to assembling the BaxWalk2006 DVD, you also ought to enjoy the "So This Is The Desert" segments ... :)

The walk may have been boring but watching the video was fun.
We notice that you not only had a English accent but also hiked on the British side of the road. How authentic!
Kudos for your efforts, Redtail.
With love,
Whitetail and Skanndrel

That time is rolling around, isn't it? Hopefully I'll be back on the trail then ...

Thank you! I hope you're doing well. It seemed like you went through some rough times while I was gone. :-/

Rough times indeed... they're still there - but I'm coping much better now. Thank you. :)

*laughs* That was excellent. Your constituency demands more.
