I'm posting this via a roundabout hack. Yay lynx.

Probably due to the ongoing issues mentioned on the status page -- LJ's attempt to deal with a distributed denial of service attack -- submitting both posts and comments leads to an endless timeout from any computer at our house. Oddly, any page I want to read pulls up fine, but any time I try to say something, LJ plugs up its ears and goes "LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU."

So I'm going to be involuntarily quiet here for the indefinite future (unless I have a reason to go out to Yubanet, where it works; or have something terribly important to say).
