This still isn't a journal, gosh darn it

... but that doesn't mean that I won't be posting here occasionally.

The "Friends" feature is a fairly useful substitute for a notify list. I'll try to remember to write something here whenever I update tomorrowlands.org in any significant way. Add me to your friends list if you don't visit my site often, and want an occasional prod to come back and look at the shiny new things.

I've also updated my friends list to keep tabs on pretty much anybody who I know from somewhere -- the dragon community, alt.polyamory, friends and roommates, etc. There's something to be said for that sort of convenience. Of course, sometimes that thing is "necessarily incomplete" -- I know plenty of people who aren't LJ users; and on top of that, I know plenty of people who are but I haven't been able to track them down after four hours (!) of sitting here in front of a Web browser. So, drop me a line or respond to this message if you know me from somewhere and have a LJ account.

Off to the SSH connection; I have a journal entry to write ...

Tomorrowlands update

I watched the fireworks on July 4 (America's Independence Day), and took pictures. Ultimately, there came to be a photo essay. Many nifty pictures of things going boom. Occasionally witty commentary.

Also, Kaijima has contributed a TTU story, "The Fringe". TTU -- The Tomorrowlands Universe -- is a shared-world fiction setting, much like today's Earth except that The Changes hit at the end of 1996, bringing powerful magic -- and shapeshifters -- into the world. Or back into the world, depending on who you ask. [More information]

(Comments on my website content should be directed to the Tomorrowlands forums, not here, because then you'll get to chat with all the nifty people who read my site.) ]B=8)
