The mathematics of desire

Inspired by athagon's recent post, I undertook some mathematical analysis of the human psyche. The resluts were ... surprising. (I actually meant to type "results" there, but that typo was probably significant.)

Using only such basic mathematical concepts as multiplication, substitution and the commutative property (a * b = b * a), I have discovered what "I want to wait for the right time" really means ... and it's not the innocent statement of pre-marriage chastity it appears to be.

It's worth reminding everyone ...

... that this is not my journal. I use my LJ account to post fluff, LJ-specific material, and notices of site updates.

This post is one of the latter. I just wanted to give people a heads-up on the latest essay I posted on Tomorrowlands -- a fun little romp through, of all things, the price of salt.

The fact that it's called "The Price of Vengeance" should tell you that it's not quite that simple.

Again, though, my LJ account is not my journal; I keep that over on the home page of my site -- If you haven't been reading it, then you may want to check out my recent entry on autographs and Christmas gifts.

By the way, happy new year!
