Settling the question
Blame baronlaw, who posted an entry cut-tagged with "Fire and Ice Meme", which really should have been something like the below:

Poll #1130417 "Ice and Fire Meme"

How do you say the world will end?*

I hold with those who favor fire.
25(67.6%)
Ice is great and will suffice.
12(32.4%)

An odd poem compared to the rest of his, but I do love it. :)

If the world is Earth specifically, then fire, because of the whole Sun-expanding thing. If the universe, considering that current data shows an increase in expansion, then ice, because of the prospect of a Big Freeze (heat death) - though that's far from certain.

Back in summer camp when I was a kid, one of the counselors had an arrangement of that poem set to music. I don't know if he wrote it himself, or what, but in my mind, that poem has a tune, and I've always loved it.

That's T.S. Elliot, not Robert Frost. :-P

This was on a friend's refrigerator door, years ago, I don't know who wrote it;

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
And some say the world will end in the flash
Of a big explosive device.
But at the risk of sounding sarcastic,
I think the world will choke on plastic.

Oh my god. That might even be more awesome than the original.

It occurred to me that you might need help with the quote. The only person I know has gone through all four stages is Trudeau.

You should not have taken my words without permission. My desire for you to read what I wrote didn't imply such permission.

Wait ... what?

Was this comment meant to be left elsewhere?

Nope, I left it exactly where I wanted it. However, I did leave out the pertinent piece of information, wondering whether you'd be able to fill in the missing steps yourself. Two years pass and I feel a tiny pang of resentment: I am fortunate that some of my emotions are glacial.

The issue may seem unimportant to you, but you don't share my sense of what is and is not important. :)
