As the writer of the post, I will respond respectfully to your posts whether you sign them or not (and in fact have already done so, several times). I can't speak for my commenters.
I will say this: The reason you're being asked for a name is as a gesture of basic Internet etiquette. That gesture is taken as a sign that you're at least as invested in the conversation as the people commenting under identities. It's easy for someone to walk into a forum, spew a snarky comment, and then never visit the place again; rightly or wrongly, a name (even if it's just a handle) implies a commitment to continuity and dialogue.
As the journal owner I can see that all three "Anonymous" comments here were posted under a matching IP address, so I can tell they were all you (whoever you are). However, my readers don't have that luxury, and so are understandably reluctant to deeply engage without some sign their efforts will be rewarded.
