Well hey, the water banks around here are back up to something like 72% at least. I know it's a pain and all but really I'd rather they were 100%.

Please, please tell me that those two dudes in the picture are, like, action figures and not actual people.

More generally: it seems that the weather pattern has simply shifted WRT the calendar. Rain doesn't start as early as it used to, either. We've been dry into December.

I actually looked up water stats on Friday evening after my post, because I know that's an ongoing issue here in our fair state, and I was curious too. Voila! The snowpack graph actually is a little cheerier than the reservoir graphs, because all of that snow is going to keep filling the reservoirs for another month or two. The latest overall report at CDEC sounded pretty positive.

So, yes, credit to Mother Nature for helping to break the drought. That's worth the loss of a few sanity points.

(Also, re the Powerthirst models: As much as I'd like to offer some reassurance, a quick google search for "steroid muscles" seems to suggest that the given example is within the range of assisted human achievement. :-p)

I think I just threw up a little.
