It's being written, no, really ...
I'm hopefully about halfway through my write-up of Sunday's big San Francisco City Hall visit. So much for immediate, fresh and topical; but if I'm going to limp through the final gate with a late entry, I'm at least going to write a lengthy, memorable travelogue, dammit.

kadyg, who's a little better at multitasking than I am (and who didn't have work this week, for that matter), finished her write-up of the day in a timely fashion. It doesn't have any of the pictures we took, but it's worthy reading.

In other news, I was pointed at 140204 on Tuesday. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to not one, but two people -- neither of which appear to be one of my current partners -- who left me anonymous (and touching) Valentine's Day messages.

Thank you, K. (because I suspect you're one of the two). Thank you also, anonymous person. I had a very nicely distracting V-day, but this week I've been feeling acutely isolated, and the messages came just in time to give me a meaningful boost.

Current Mood: thankfulthankful
Current Music: Dave Matthews Band, "Warehouse"

And just because you're reading the comments on this message, I'll give you a sneak preview. (WARNING: Work in progress. Might suck. Will have to re-read before I "officially" post it so I can clean up my writing. I'm rusty. :( )

Nobody loves me either. Well, okay, nobody who loves me knew about that journal and posted to it - I can't honestly say "nobody loves me" with a straight face, because if I said it out loud in the living room I'd get tickled. ;D

V-Day message

Actually that wasn't me, dear. And as much as I would dearly love to take credit for it, I just can't. I do agree with the sentiments and I'll try to come up something else to earn your gratitude. ;-}

I must admit with a hint of shame that I used the "K" because of its deliberate ambiguity; it could be interpreted (via name, nickname, online handle, or otherwise) to refer to over 3/4 of the people who were most likely to send a valentine to me.

I figured it wasn't you for the simple reason that you are probably the least active Livejournal user among any of my current sweeties, ex-sweeties, or mutual crushes. ];=8) To be honest, because I'd thus excluded you from the sample set, I didn't even remember it would apply to you too until you pointed it out. *blush*

Thank you, though!

Yeah, it occured to me as I was forking over rand to cover my internet time that "K" could be a multitude of people. Oh well, I still feel the same. Enjoy the mystery - you've been having a few of them lately. ;-}
